Bird of the Day

Hi guys! Everyone ready for the bird of the day I know I am! The bird of the day is……. The Steller's Jay!!! Here is some pics

LOVE these BEAUTIFUL birds!!!  These are male birds (male and female look almost alike sometimes the female will have white tips on there heads) I love the little mohawk-like-thing on their heads SO CUTE!!! These baby Seller's Jays are even cuter.

Bird of the Day

Hi guys! Blue here so I would like to start out with my new profile. I'm Blue (as you know) and I write Birding with Blue. My sister is Sky and she writes Daily Beanie Boos. I would also like to apologize for not writing in a while. I'm going to be doing this new thing called Bird of the Day. So i'm going to start now but first give a hand to my sister for giving me the idea. The bird for today is a Snowy Owl! Here is a pic.

Beautiful! Just Beautiful!  I  love the top one so pretty how the owl takes flight and how he looks so calm. I love the last one to those wings are so BIG! and get this, all of those owls are female! (I think, hard to tell) The female has more spots than males. Some males are spotted too but the males are mostly white here is a male.

Cedar waxwing

Hi guys! So sorry that I have not posted been so busy. I have just got back from camp and I saw lots of birds. One of the birds that I have seen is a cedar waxwing. They are so beautiful! That is all I have for today. Happy birding!

Hummers are back!

Hi, everybody!  So sorry I have not been posting. Been very busy here.  The hummingbirds are back!! I have been seeing male Ruby-throated hummingbirds.  They are so beautiful!  Did you know that male hummingbirds come back before female hummingbirds? I will try and get pictures next time I see them. Tell me if you have seen any hummingbirds or other fun birds lately.   Happy birding!

Bird Lore

We went to a Discovery Place event called Bird Lore it was great! We got to watch a documentary on North American birds that had gone extinct.  It was very interesting.  We saw Owls, Pigeons, Ducks and Chickens.  There were many different booths set up.  My favorite was my friends booth, Bird House on the Greenway.  We had a great time today! MY NEW BIRD!!!!!!

Hi everyone as you can guess by the title I got a new BIRD!!! His name is Sunshine he is so cute! We got him yesterday and he is very shy right now but some training and he will be fine. Thats all I have today.  Happy birding!
